My father grew up in Ishpeming, so this has a lot of meaning for me. Thanks for posting the image.
As a young boy, my parents brought me there from Long Island, NY, to introduce me to the aunt who raised my father after his parents passed away. The aunt lived in a bungalow a short distance from the tracks. While visiting I would drift over to the station and signal areas and pester the stationmaster and train crew with questions.
