My name is Leisa. I am a beginner at photography and want to learn as much as possible about the skill. I have a Canon rebel t5i and am overwhelmed with trying to learn all the functions as I purchased this camera at a pawn shop and no users manual came with it. I could use any help that anyone could offer.
Thanks in advance
Welcome to UHH Leisha. This is the place to be:) Great advice from Longshadow:)
Thx. I do have one issue. When I set it to continuous. It will only shoot 2 shots and stop. This has been a problem when I photograph my granddaughter while playing softball. Is there a setting that I am missing?
Probably, look in the manual. :>)
Welcome to the forum Leisa.

Try looking at the Canon web site. You should be able to download a users manual.

Welcome Leisa. These are the books I use for my Canon's. Much better than the manual IMO.

It could be set for two shot brackets. An older, slower SD card might only be able to record 2 at a time, but I doubt that.
Here is a video just over a minute on how to reset the camera to factory defaults:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2LD2eVI65MAnd after you download the camera you can go through and reset everything to how you want it.
You might start shooting in "P" mode (sometime humorously called "professional"). That lets the camera's processor use pre-loaded settings developed by the pros testing and working for Canon. It also allows you to change things to experiment and learn. Later you can go to the other modes and eventually even "M"-full Manual.
Here is a selection of books that are easier to follow than the manual:
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/Canon+T5i?_requestid=6262070And for photography in general I like this one, it has linked videos to watch when you use the e-book version on your computer:
