Situation: I import some images to Lightroom. I make some adjustments. I close Lightroom. I open Lightroom again and make more adjustments. I close again. Now I open Lightroom again and want to go back to the image before all the adjustments and start all over. How do I get back? Thanks!

If you bring up your modified photo into the Develop mode, you'll see in the left-hand column the History of changes you made. Just go to the bottom of the History and click on the first entry (Import date/time).

You can use the RESET button in the Develop Module.

You can also save all your past edits as a named virtual image, and then start over with another concept. The number of virtual images is unlimited and they do not take up any disk space (well, just a few bytes in a 1K file).

This is one of the best features about Lightroom. You can go back any number of editing / adjustment steps, start over, etc. and never lose anything or ever modify your original image.

One of the many beauties of Lightroom - making totally different version of the same image and not taking up much space on your HD. Best thing since sliced bread or indoor plumbing or whatever:)
