That is not the natural color on that bird. Mother nature does a fine job with color. I would like to see the original.
I'm not sure how to add the original to this thread. If you like, I will PM it to you, but I don't think you will see much difference in color.

Out west, the spots are not as bright. Here is a screenshot off google showing a burrowing owl in Florida.
Thanks Roxie, I have never had a chance to photograph these owls in the West, and was unaware of the color differences. The color on the posted owl is the same as the original, which as stated, was captured in Marco Island, Fl.
I've got lots of photo's of burrowing owls. There is a wide range of NATURAL colors. Nice shot by the way.
