This is about as O.T. as it can get and I apologize BUT I just had to share this experience.

Saturday night my wife had reserved a stage front table at the Shawn Barker (Google it) who does a tribute to Johnny Cash. No, he is NOT Johnny Cash, Johnny Cash is gone and there will not be back, but Shawn does one heck of a good show and this is the third time if four years that I've attended. It a a Christmas present.

Ok, here is the scenario. His show is entirely in English and based on American Culture, as was Johnny Cash's music, but up here in this area, we all speak French and I doubt that 90% could not understand all the words and the slang..ask anyone what ''I walk the line'' means. My wife is 100% bilingual but didn't know. This guy has spent four summers up here playing to nearly full houses several times a week, maybe more.

So I wassitting at my table and fork fell and as I bent over to retireveit, my camrea fell andhiy a metal table leg andbroke the UV filter and for the life of me I cannot unscrew it so I spent theevening shooting anyway andI do not know why, but the pics are very good in my mind, and taking into consideration my capacity to do this inside stuff.

I used Manual, ISO 400, f.5.0 andwandered between 1/4 and 1/10 depending on the lighting. I set WB at flourescent but probably would have been better using AWB because ofthe constant changing of the lights
This is about as O.T. as it can get and I apologiz... (show quote)

Thank you. Yes I've done that before but this time the filter and the lense are ''nicked'' and the filter has to be broken to access it and then repair the notch.....Don't want to lose the lense as it is a 17 - 85m and I love it almost as much as my truck...LOL

Thanx Aleone. Went over to my friendly neighbourhood photo finisher and we discussed this thing and in the below photo you'll notice the lighting to be much different and the subject is not blurred. That means that I'll buy a cheap UV and break it for some fantastic shots! LOL

Well, I haven't been on for a while because I've been busy going to Ala. to see my brand new grandson. He was 6 weeks old last Friday and he's my addiction. Naturally, I can't get anything done unless it involves him and I kept ALL (bad and good) the shots in the first 2 weeks I got to stay there. I only took about 2 or 4 hundred. The 3rd one is the happy family. Bryce doesn't stand a chance if he's anything like his daddy or grandma.

blurred arms but they weren't real sure of what I was doing behind them.
