You said in your post that you returned the flash that was delivered late. So you obviously knew how to return an item, or could have found out.

No only that, but he also said that he initially returned the camera because there was a minor defect on the body. So he knew where to return the camera the first time, but not the second. How convenient.

Given Adorama's reputation for quality customer service; as compared with snapshot18's many inconsistencies and unsupported allegations, to my mind he has zero credibility.

The first event happened 10 years earlier. Yes, I could have found out; but I don't feel too favorable toward someone that deliberately tries to "Screw" me! So, since they intended to take advantage of me when THEY were the CUPRITS, I said it's 'KARMA'!

You ever hear of an 'Assumption' based on experience? I've heard other photographers, both professional and non, who said they had some bad experience with Adorama. And when I issued the threat, they complied very quickly.

You're absolutely right . . . but ONLY because I fought back and threatened to sue them. Had I not, I definitely would have.
I would have thought that was pretty clear.

So you are basing your disparaging remarks about Adorama on two relatively isolated incidents over a 10 year period, which you conveniently omitted to mention. In any case, that's hardly a pattern.

And don't kid yourself. Keeping someone's property without paying for it is NOT karma.

If you know anything about UHH, you would know that 99% of members have a positive opinion of Adorama. Given your "assumption based on experience" premise, it would follow that Adorama is not the bad guy here.

If, as you claim, you had heard that others had a bad experience with Adorama, it was pretty foolish of you to order a camera from them.

As Jesu pointed out above, you initially returned the camera because of a minor defect. That was not 10 years ago. So you did know where to return it. It looks like you simply wanted to keep the camera without paying for it.

Not initially. But, to some, they only see evil everywhere.

I recently made the switch to Adorama. Frankly, I blew my gasket with the competition. Some companies fail to maintain performance levels when success appears to be on a fast track. It starts with arrogant employees. I had a situation that an employee tried to transfer blame even though I had been extremely adamant about my request. When he didn't really assure what he told me would happen and I complained to customer service they took an automatic stance that it was my fault. When I responded that they should check their facts before responding they backed down but I canceled my order and made my move. I did have an issue yesterday with Adorama but I got an immediate response and a followup acknowledging the situation and a remedy was provided without my having to argue. I suppose when you are considered "second-best" that you simply try harder. I suppose that's why Apple has such wonderful service.

A number of contributors to this site seem to beat the drum for Adorama's biggest competitor in New York City. (I get it; I bought my last two Nikon DSLR's from the competition.) I have not had any dealings with Adorama....yet; however, I have been having some challenges with their competition lately and a lot of those challenges seem to have started happening when the competition shifted from the Big Brown Truck to handle their shipments to Fedex Ground. If Adorama's competition is telling me/promoting that I get 2 day expedited shipping to my area, why is it taking Fedex Ground 3 days or more to deliver? I get a tracking number, I track my order for delivery, my order requires a signature at times so someone has to be there to sign. I try not to burden anyone else here to do that, they have days off too. But, when you get a delivery date, you arrange your whole schedule and day off around being there to accept and sign for the order, and nothing happens by 2 pm; and you go on line, do another order tracking and discover the delivery has been rescheduled to the following day, that really rankles me!!!!

You mean to say, The 'Apple' has a worm in it? As far as Adorama goes, maybe they're under "New Management". Hope so, but I won't ever buy from them again . . . same with Amazon!

I'm a little bit late to this party but I must give some insight into the FedEx-UPS comment about delivery. UPS can deliver any package that lies within 150 miles of the shipping point within ONE day--no special Next Day/Second Day/Priority, etc. required. If you are within 500 miles of the shipping point, UPS can get that package to you in TWO days, and again, no special consideration needed. My last job at UPS was meeting a driver from the Columbus Ohio area and swapping loads bound for the metro Philly area. The next day (day2) those packages were delivered. All ground deliveries!
