How do I stabilize this night shot of a train station w/ reflections
Use a tripod...it will make a big difference
I do use a tripod but I think it is either the pushing of shutter button or the slr flip
I even rest the camra on my deck railing
In addition to a tripod you may well need either a cable or wireless remote for the shuttle. Take care where you sit your tripod - a lot of deckes, and flooring is not as steady as you think. Deck railing is not rock solid. Tripod ideally should be on the ground.
If your camera has mirror lock, try that, sometimes the mirror flipping up causes a vibration when U take the picture
If your lens has image stabilization of some kind, it might be good to turn it off while on a tripod. Later versions of IS on Canon are reputed to not need turning off when on a tripod but I've done it anyway rather than take a chance. I can't speak for Nikon's latest versions of IS. You didn't mention what you're shooting, exif data, etc. Still, it is sort of a general set of things regardless of equipment, isn't it.
Ill try from concrete thanks
I am using a Nikon D3100 I will try the mirror lock thanks
I always set the timed shutter release for night shots. No matter how hard I try, I jiggle the camera when I hit the shutter.
