Can you force respect on anything, be it a f**g, person, or president? Would doing so be authoritarian? In doing so, wouldn't that diminish true respect?
Do as I do, or else. Think as I think, or else.

Nope, and no one really cares about the respect in their hearts.

It’s a freaking business, the customers resent the physical actions and began “purchasing”alternative products, and the business owners do not want to lose anymore value or money so they have made a rule change.

Sadly, the union is still bucking this.......perhaps to stupid to understand the business-owner-worker-customer dynamic.....and just may be in the early throes of k*****g their golden goose.

Quite the r****t comment there......I suppose you don’t think he’s ever been in a neighborhood of non white people, non Straight people, etc? Either that, or just a basic dumb comment.

Ah, yes. The long struggles of the downtrodden white men of privilege. HowEVER did we come to this?

Although I’m sorry about your hearing loss, that prejudice was from children. We’re talking about adults here, and nothing about this r****t original posting is adult.

We have to accept n**is marching in the street under the First Amendment, yet players who are peacefully protesting the mistreatment of people of color (mostly men and boys, and mostly black) are being shunned and punished.

A really dumb comparison. The players could march, protest, etc on ANY Tuesday during the season, and ANY day in the offseason..... the problem is they were determined to do it on a WORKDAY, and their customers didn’t want to hear/see that s**t on a workday. This was made worse by the inconsistent, disorganized messages sent by the alleged protestors, by the lack of accurate data behind man6 of the protests (Mike Brown? Really?), and by the sometimes anti-cop hatred exhibited by some (including the original protestor).

The other day was a drug bust in my town, 14 people were arrested. second one so far this year. I live in rural area of New York State. Here we are drowning in a sea of drugs and what is on the news Trump shooting off his mouth about NFL players keening. Who give a dam! Lets get real and deal with real problems in America.

Haven't seen any of this display at College Games, which are more interesting anyway, so there I'll stay!

IMHO the entire sports-entertainment complex is out of control. Kids suffer knee, head, and neck injuries in high school, college athletes are actually semi-pro players with only a few getting a degree with which they can make a living, and the Pros are way overpaid and coddled punks.

We should take all sports out of college (make them pay their own way - e.g. build their own stadiums, pay taxes, etc) and make the pros build their own stadiums and not foist the costs off on the tax paying public.

I enough people boycott the NFL perhaps the message will begin to sink in.

“First hand” means it happened to you personally. It happened to his wife, not him.

Ya got me there. Of course, I was referring to the OP. Thus the quotes around the words “first hand.”

Not quite accurate. If you witness something you have first hand knowledge of it and I believe that is what he meant. If his wife told him about it, it would then be considered second hand information.

We can find definitions for both of us. But my meaning is basic. Unless you are a man/woman of color and have experienced brutality at the hands of our trusted officials, you don’t know.

The NFL players are not disrespecting the f**g or this country. They are simply silently protesting the mistreatment of a large group of American citizens, simply because of the color of their skin. They are invoking their First Amendment right and are being punished for it.

If you can’t understand the wrongness of what is happening in this country to people of color, I don’t know how to enlighten you.

I am now finished with this topic.

As explained to me by HR at G.E. your first amendment rights do apply when you are representing your employer to the public. What you say and do at work can damage the public image of your employer, the public has spoken and sales are declining, the NFL is running damage control with this rule.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But in my opinion they are disrespecting the American f**g and all that it stands for. There are many other ways they can protest this issue without showing disrespect for all my brothers and sisters in arms who have gone in harms way to protect these overprices entertainer's right to protest. It is not a matter of enlighten me to the issue. I do agree with their issue. I disagree with the way they are going about protesting. Can you not see that? Let them protest by spending some of their overpriced wages to make change. Anyway, as I said you are entitled to your opinion, regardless how wrong it may be.

Clearly you’re both a r****t and a misandrist. As a r****t and a misandrist you see only color and g****r, and you see all white men as privileged.
