For those who knew Photosmoke... Phil
I've been friends with Phil on facebook for a while and knew he was not doing well, health wise... so much so that he is now in hospice.
Today I got a very sad comment that he will be flying with his beautiful birds soon...
tears......
It was an honor and always a pleasure to be able to view his beautiful photos that will be greatly missed on here.....
I'm sure he'll be flying around with camera in hand!!!
Please send your silent prayers to him....
His work is quite good. It's sad to read that he is not well. Thoughts and prayers.

I've never had the pleasure to view Phil's work nor offer him kind comments. As a member of UHH, friends of the community are now friends of mine as well. My thoughts and prayers will be with him.

I'm sure he's feeling your thoughts and prayers!
So sad. Many of us become friends here even though it may only as online friends. We do come to feel we know each other through our photos and comments. Phil will be missed.

Oh, Angela, I'm so sorry and checked the hog first thing his morning for any updates. I had conversed with Phil by PM within the last month and in my last one told Phil that I would PM him soon and sure wish that I had a been a little more prompt, but he had not mentioned any recent setbacks! So sorry for his family and please keep us updated! Take care and we need to try and enjoy every day.

Corky, I believe Phil enjoyed our friendship, but understood life happens... he always let me know on FB if he was in the hospital for a week, then back home, but then he told me he didn't have much time... so hard for me to reply, but I did and always told him my prayers were being sent his way....
The bond and friendship we make on the UHH is strong and I just find this so upsetting, maybe because I know how much he loved photography, his cats, backyard critters and flowers...
I hope seeing the flowers and birds will give his family peace...
Take care, my friend and enjoy this beautiful day!!
...Sunday a wash out all day!!
Having a good thought for him, a nice guy, and thanks for the update.
He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers, Angela. Just saw on FB today that he is back home, and I know that he is much happier there. I'll so miss his friendship and his beautiful nature photography....

Donna, I will miss he as well and I think he will be happier at home, hopefully he can see his garden again.... he was so nice and his work always made me smile, especially his cat Moe. He took such pride in his garden and his garden visitors and his cats.
He will be greatly missed... especially on FB where we used to talk with him...
