Found these pictures in a box of Kodachromes that my father took during a business trip to Denver in 1953.
Probably taken with his Minolta a2.

That first one is the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Slightly west of Denver proper. Nice captures from so long ago...

Thank you all for early replies.
I inherited many boxes of his slides going back to the late '40s, some in glass mounts, some with me as a little boy (and I'm going to hit 75 later this week).
I was afraid that you all were going to ding me for applying faux HDR to the bottom image (the original was so flat that I had to pep it up). But the top one, plus another of a mountain lake, so impressed me with the integrity of the 65 year-old color.

I still remember when Red Rocks looked like that. Sure is different today.

Thanks. I have tons of Kodahromes from the 1970s that I need to revisit. Have not looked at them in 30 years.
Somewhere in an attic (either the house of office) I still have Kodak slide projector.
I turned 75 last week. Maybe someday when I slow down I will look at those old shots.

and that's the truth !!! I thought I'd have lots of free time on my hands when I retired. Seems like I don't have enough time....
