All of a sudden my camera wouldn’t auto focus in anything but full auto mode. Just in time for my grandson’s 5th birthday party. I tried several lenses, but to no avail. Any ideas ?

Do you have AF switches on all lenses tested? Make sure they are not turned off.
Is AF turned on in the camera menus?
Reset camera to default settings.

Thank you. The reset did the trick. I have no idea how things got out of whack.

Glad it worked. When things get out of whack, hitting RESET sometimes works. I'm an Aggiedad too. We need to stick together.

I would be nice to be able to download your camera setting to your computer, so when things get out of whack you can go back to your preferred setting not factory defaults.

Reset is the best option built into all digital camera's. Next best for digital is an EMP from a nuclear blast. Then we're back to mixing "Wet plates in a Dark Tent" like Carleton Watkins did when he shot the Columbia Gorge in the late 1800's.
Please don't tell me you don't know who Carleton Watkins is. Hint-He was buried in a Paupers Grave at a mental institution when his sister had him declared unfit to continue in photography. Can you relate?
