I recently got Darktable. So far so good. Previously I purchased Luminar, but after upgrade to current version and 6 weeks of frustration with Skylum Tech Team got my money back.

Raw Therapee is a great raw editor, I like it better than dark table

Adobe's Photoshop Express. You don't get if from Adobe. Instead you get it from the "App Store". I don't know about the Apple version, but the Windows version works well on my laptop with RAW files from my Panasonic cameras.

If your camera is Canon - as mine is - use DPP -- It's free & Canon keeps it updated

On1 Photo Raw 2018 is outstanding. Free trial and loads of online tutorials for each features.

Canon, Nikon and Sony all have free converters. I expect others do also.

I have the Photoshop Express app on my iPad. It appears to be a collection of pre-sets, though some have a single slider to adjust the degree of application.
