Happiness Is...
Among our 'inalienable Rights' are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Or so said Thomas Jefferson & Co. a couple of hundred years ago. But what is Happiness, and how do you know when you've stopped pursuing it and actually caught it?
For some, Happiness is found in acquiring the latest full-frame camera. For others, Happiness is a vacation in Hawaii or a new Mercedes.
Here at the Ministry of Mayhem, however, Happiness is Madame P with a new recruit.
A warm shot, Randy. Madame P is an animal lover at heart.

Thank you, John. She is that. Of course, she would have to be, to put up with the Martian, Eisenheim (the Magnificent), Chopper the Peruvian Piranha Dog, and the zany cast of characters that inhabit the Ministry.
Glad you enjoyed the shot, and thanks as always for the kind words and visit. Much appreciated!
Nice. Both the lead up and the capture.
A lovely, sensitive portrait. 💕 That little kitty knows he has it made!

Thank you, Charlie'smom. I rarely post an image without a chapter from our continuing story to go along with it, lol. This one was sort of quick and dirty, just a cell phone candid from this past weekend. Madame P and I visited a local shelter on Saturday, ended up choosing this kitten to join the menagerie here at the Ministry. This was the first time she held him, and I managed to catch a couple of smiles. Glad you enjoyed.
Thanks for your visit and kind comment, it's very much appreciated!

Thanks, Carol. Madame P has a very warm side, for a Dark Lady. She tries not to show it (it's bad for business. Hard to throw terror into the hearts of your enemies, if you're sweet and happy all the time, lol...). But she couldn't stop smiling when she picked up this kitten. That was, of course, my cue to get out the cell phone and snap a few, since ordinarily getting her to smile for the camera is like pulling teeth! Glad you enjoyed the shot.
Thanks as always for stopping by and the kind comments. They're very much appreciated!

Thanks, Bob. Sometimes a candid with a cell phone delivers more than hours of preparation and shooting with the 'real' camera. But isn't it always the simple things that we treasure the most?
Glad you liked this one.
Thanks for stopping by and your very kind comment. I'm always grateful!
A wonderful story and photo, Randy. Love it!

Thanks, Linda. One of the few I've managed to do this year. There's something special here--maybe the simple silhouette-like image, maybe her smile. Something appeals to me in this. A better pose by the kitten would have been nice, but at four weeks, he wasn't paying any attention to me, and you get what you get, lol. And of course, smiles like that from Madame P are rare as hen's teeth, so grab it and run, and I did. Tho admittedly it took quite a while for her to wipe that big grin off her face!
Glad you enjoyed this, and thanks for the very kind words and your visit. I always appreciate them!
Beautiful woman, beautifully shot. Well done.
"Happiness is a warm gun".
Nice image.
Randy, lovely portrait of Madame P and the look on her face is the look all animal lovers get, holding such an adorable little kitten!!
