I received in email an advert for the following software for sharpening photographs. It is, "Inpixio photo Maximizer" published by Avanquest Software. I shoot a 6DII and I was wondering if any of you out there could tell me if it is of any advantage to get this software? I think my photos are adequately sharp even when heavily cropped (or zoomed in to a specific feature, if you will). Anybody have any experience with the software and can advise I would be interested in your opinion. Thanks. Here is the link:

What formats does this software work with? That was/is my first questions.

I think you hit a good point here. I don't know and the info on the site does not appear to say. I am thinking JPEG's and not raw...
Several thoughts after looking at the web site:
What is a "custom zoom interface?"
Enlarging photos without quality loss, based on their graphics, seems to be cropping.
Sharpness, Noise Reduction and Grain sounds a lot like tools available in the Lightroom Develop module.
Processing thousands of images at once? Sounds like synchronization in Lightroom Library module.
Save your $40
I am with rgrenaderphoto concerning PP software there is nothing new under the sun just manufacturers spinning their wares.

All of the sharpening programs are usually adequate for their purpose and prove to be useful, if you know what you are getting and not having a phantasy that one could perform miracles. NO sharpening software can turn blurry/out of focus shots into sharp pictures, software like that does not exist! All that sharpening software can do, is to improve on a few issues of an already sharply focused picture, like removing some fringing and improving on contrast lines within an image, etc. but that's about all there's to it. So, yes, if you aware of that and go at it from that prospective, it can prove very useful!
