I really work at trying to get shots like these. I have a 100 mm 1.2:8 using a Canon T3i. I have to get close so I put a red sheet over my head to attract their attention. . Yesterday I set up a hum-bird station with feeders & flowers and waited and waited at no avail. It's too hot here to be outside much.100 degrees+. But I keep trying and trying.

What is it about these little guys (mostly girls) that makes our shutter fingers just itch to capture their flying skills? It's great practice to everything just right.

Too hot in AL and I'm sick. I set up everything on my porch next to my front door. As long as you don't use flash you can take them right through the glass.
Looks darker here than in Picasa.
