Deep Purple Iris - a second one opened over night.

Well my wounded Iris managed to bloom and lasted just a bit over 2 days.
Over night a second deep purple bloom opened.
Hard to get pictures because it is in the middle of the cluster of plants in a medium sized pot.
5DIV, Tamron 180 macro, Helicon FB Tube and remote wired shutter controlling the focus and shutter.
PP in LR&PS - cloned a few double edges (wind blowing), cropped and selective lightening with brush in the interior of the Iris.

Your best image in this series IMO, Jerry. I love how the bloom is nestled among the foliage and the contrast of colors and textures. Just beautiful!

Jerry, this is one beauty Iris. You are lucky to have so many blooms of this color.

Thanks, the plants in the pot had about 5 more buds, and I just looked out the door - another one opened, I will go look at it and hope the overcast thins enough to get better light later today.

OK, I need to clean my glasses. There are two new blooms and new buds for a total of 5 on the lavender/purple plants and one bloom plus 6 buds on the plants in the pot that produces yellow or mixed yellow/purple blooms.
