Hi guys & gals,

I have two (2) of these awesome PRO full-frame FX zoom lenses, and let me tell you they are the REAL deal !! The only reason I am even selling this one is because I already have another, like new in the box, which I paid over $700 for, USED, which I've been loving on for the last two years. This one that I am selling, I recently received in a package-deal with other photo equipment that I bought from a retiring professional sports photographer. This was his workingman's main go-to lens, day in and day out, from dark gymnasiums to outdoor sports fields. . . Many, many pictures from this actual lens have been published in several newspapers, periodicals, and online. Look for yourself at these sample snapshots I took at my home a week or two ago with this lens on my Nikon D3s, hand-held, in natural light, with no fill flash. In your hands it feels totally like the pro lens it really is

All-metal (no plastic here); instantly snaps into focus; solid, smooth, internal screw zoom (it zooms internally without telescoping); constant-aperture low-light loving f2.8 D lens (has aperture ring, unlike gelded G lenses); effortless perfection for low-light/fast-action (or anything else you choose to use it for including especially portraiture and wedding photography)! These exact lenses sell at B&H and at Adorama right now for $1,221.00. . . and if you buy them used, in nice shape, they are over $700 (ask me how I know).

I am only asking $350 (half-price) for this lens because it's in workingman's condition. The full/limit switch button is gone and there is black tape over it. The manual focus switch is sloppy, so it is scotch-taped in the auto-focus position. There is some dust inside the lens, and there is one tiny spot on the outside of the front element that looks like a speck of dust, but is actually a tiny ding in the glass. The brass is showing through the black finish in spots. However, the rear element (the most important one) is beautiful and clean. None of the glass is scratched or damaged in any way except for the tiny ding on the front element that looks like a speck of dust. But as you can see, it shoots like the PRO lens it is. Pictures come out clean, sharp, and contrasty. Again, this is a true pro lens, so good that this exact model has been in current production since 1997. . . that's a 21-year favorite and still selling strong!

Although I'm asking $350, I am flexible. Whoever offers me the closest to $350 will get it, but I am open to all reasonable offers (so don't be shy, you won't offend me ). I don't need two of these lenses at one time, and I could really use the cash for other gear. My preferred form of payment is a US Postal Money Order, but I can also take PayPal if you're in a hurry and want to pay the fee. You pay USPS shipping, and I'll pay the insurance.

Nikon has made several of these 80-200 f2.8 lenses and they all are great performers.
Good luck with your sale.
