My attempts have yielded both moderate successes and puzzling failures. My camera limits me to
+1, 0, -1 stops in bracketing mode. attached is a moderate success.

Looks like your +1 stop may have "fuzzied" things a little in the stack up. When things are moving around, as in breezy conditions, I try a single shot and PP exposures to get a psuedo HDR. It seems to work better than no HDR at all. (Though my eyes ain't what they used to be)

|Yes it was breezy that day and it no doubt had some thing to do with the way things turned out. I have PS7 but I don't have enough skill with it yet to pull off a psudo HDR. I'm more than a little shakey which does not help if I try hand held. I usually rely on my tripod. Thanks for your input.

Using three fotos from the same raw foto will not have the same effect as true hdr.

For handheld HDR, I set my D7000 on high speed, burst mode, and let 3 exposures rip quickly. You can see me middle exposure movement shift in the bush to the right of the structure.

Also, look at Photomatix Pro, which gives you the ability to correct "ghosting" during the HDR process.
