Beautiful roses, Tom, and the shot in the vase is a winner!

I agree. Flower arrangements make good subjects in addition to being a nice gift. I used to think they were a waste of money until I started shooting them.

I bought these roses for my wife for Mother's Day because she loves roses and will probably make a dried flower arrangement from them. But my "other" reason for buying them was that I knew they would make for some good subject matter. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

the roses are gorgeous, tom, and i love the beautiful vase they are in...excellent job!

#3 is stunning for the contrasts of color: cool vs. warm, and the effects of pairing complementary colors together.

A great artistic eye of the one who chose that vase and to your capturing the beauty, Tom, including the dramatic black background.

Thank you so much Linda for taking a look and for your comments. I appreciate it. As for the vase, it is one we have had for some time, and she chose it to hold the roses. The black background was my creation, thanks to a piece of black felt and some PP in Lightroom.
