I get the part about the wide angle lens, not so certain about whether you created a true HDR image. Did you apply an HDR affect, or did you combine several exposures to get the final image. I ask, because it is almost impossible to get an animal to stay in the same position long enough to take multiple identical images.

I just did the tonemapping on one photo.
