1) Here is what is left of the deep purple Iris this morning.
2) Bloom from the first bulb in 2016.
3) New Bloom, getting back to the original colors. 5 shot stack.
4) 11 shot stack of the new bloom - some frames were over exposed, some under exposed (? settings did not change on camera or lens?) and by the
time I corrected and evened things out the colors do not make me completely happy, a bit over cooked which in this case I don't like a lot.
5) You may notice a petal is missing on the left. It was on the ground when I first went out - wind? - a bird tried to land on it? Don't know

While taking these shots a bee came along and explored the bloom, I got one frame of the bee in fairly good focus - tried another shot but the bee was gone. I will post these as a separate thread - a 2 shot stack - one with the bee and another frame with more of the flower in focus.

All just beautiful, Jerry! Do you have any fledglings in your yard? The babies we have here are lovable but naughty and seem to find it great fun to snip off petals, etc. And like you mentioned, they will try to perch on anything.

Thanks a lot. I have two hummingbird feeders, one oriole feeder, one suet cake feeder and four seed feeders - so yes fledglings do come to my yard.

Jerry, excellent. All the different posts show off this beautiful flower in every way.

Thank you very much.

Looking out the door I see that a second lavender bloom has opened.
