1) Here is what is left of the deep purple Iris this morning.
2) Bloom from the first bulb in 2016.
3) New Bloom, getting back to the original colors. 5 shot stack.
4) 11 shot stack of the new bloom - some frames were over exposed, some under exposed (? settings did not change on camera or lens?) and by the
time I corrected and evened things out the colors do not make me completely happy, a bit over cooked which in this case I don't like a lot.
5) You may notice a petal is missing on the left. It was on the ground when I first went out - wind? - a bird tried to land on it? Don't know
While taking these shots a bee came along and explored the bloom, I got one frame of the bee in fairly good focus - tried another shot but the bee was gone. I will post these as a separate thread - a 2 shot stack - one with the bee and another frame with more of the flower in focus.

Jerry, excellent examples and a beautiful Iris.

Love #3. Clear & crisp as far as I can see. Well done!
#3 is a great shot Robert. I have always loved the Iris. Who needs orchids when you have these beauties?

Thanks a whole lot. I understand orchids take a lot of care, my Iris just want water. Well, I need to split up and replant a bunch the medium sized pots are getting crowded.

Thank you. Well at least I am at the end of beginning to learn to photograph Iris.

The one large petal is shaped like an owl head.
