Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have your dukes up. Read the instruction manual of your DSLR and it will take better images than your cell phone.

Are you saying you need to go to a camera store when your cell phone takes better pictures than your DSLR?

Sounds good to me. You obviously need to spend money on better camera gear. Your "trusted" DSLR is not very "trustworthy" if it doesn't do better than a cell phone.

Because if your cell phone takes good pictures, it's not a question of user skill.

Explain what you mean by "better".
More accurate focus, better exposure, or less blur from camera shake?
Or, if I had to guess, fewer incidents of unsatisfactory results due to user error?
Keep in mind, the cell phone camera is specifically designed to minimize user input through extensive automation. Unlike the DSLR, which is designed for user control. If it is the simplicity of full automation and minimal user control you are looking for, then a camera phone will probably be better suited to meet your photographic needs.

This is a joke, folks. It's obviously a tongue in cheek thread here.

Nowaday the chance of me driving by a photo shop is very unlikely. Almost all of them are closed.

Actually I would say when you have your Electric, Gas, Phone, Water bills and your car payment sitting on your desk, would be a good time to stay out of the camera store.

I did not know you could put graduated filters on a cell phone. I did not know you could mount your cell phone on a tripod to take a one minute exposures. I did not know you could mount a flash on a cell phone and aim the flash up and behind you. I did not know a cell phone could track a bird in flight and zoom in and shoot 20 frames a second. I did not know a cell phone could shoot in RAW. I did not know a cell phone could shoot in manual mode. Looks like I have a lot to learn.

Maybe that DSLR shouldn't be trusted.

Give the tech guys a couple more years and that may be the norm for phone cameras. They aren't just phones anymore. They are electronic Swiss Army knives.
