Looks like one I have, my Dad's
Brings back memories! Trade it for my 1960 era Agfa?
Very nice, and I had an Argus C4 which created very sharp pictures and had an unusually sharp rangefinder focus mechanism, as did these C3 models.
I seem to recall that Argus camera's were designed and built by a fellow who built radios for the military on government contract. The first Argus looked uncannily like an early Leica.
That was my first camera that I got from my dad back in the early 60s.
Just curious about what looks like a water stain in the top of the leather case.
I really enjoyed using my C3, took lots of family pictures and even a wedding or two. It was fun.
There's only one picture with the top of the leather case, I do not see a stain ! Even with the camera case in my hand, there's nothing.
On the inside of the top part of the leather case are 2 indentations; one for the shutter release and for the film advance knob.

I have two of them, built like a Sherman Tank.
A C3 was my first decent camera back around 58-60 - loved it - it took me around 30 yrs to get a SLR to capture the images I got from that C3 - recently one of my grandsons gave me a "full C3 Kit' with original light meter, flash and bulbs for my 80th B-Day.

looks like fred flintstone's camera, i believe back in the day i owned one...it did the job...
Have one bought at a camera store with lots of vintage cameras. My original one was destroyed when I took it apart years ago.
My son bought me one as a gift. I still have to put a roll of film through it. I love the fact that came from Michigan.
Yours is in much better condition than mine.
