Thanks, Angela. I do love those translucent ones. They are so awesome. I had never seen anything like them. I think all wildflowers are special.

When I couldn't get the grand vistas I wanted in the Smoky Mountains, I turned to the smallest of the small and found wildflowers. Even with flower guide they sell at the park, I can't find names for many of them. Some I had totally forgotten existed. One I searched for and didn't find was lady slippers.

These have minimal processing. Any suggestions you have for further processing would be appreciated. All comments are welcome.

Lovely shots of your pretty little discoveries, kathy...you were so in tune with your surroundings .

Yes Kathy your descriptions are correct the bottom photo is of spring beauties, nice job on the flowers I sent you a photo of Johnny jump ups so you can see the difference between those and the jack in the pulpit. Keep up the good work there should be various other trilliums, lady slippers, and other nice opportunities in the area you are finding those. Best of luck

Thanks, GED. There was an entire group of wildflower enthusiasts out hiking one day looking for lady slippers. I don't think they fund any. The trilliums are new to me. They're lovely.
