I was just finishing up in the office today when I saw some pelicans that had wandered up the channel to do some fishing. Sprinting for my camera I managed to get a few decent shots. An old friend showed up, as well. Check out the shadow I captured on the boat....BATMAN???

Thanks Mike. I've lived here for a year and I've never seen the pelicans wander this far back in the Channel Islands Harbor before. I'm thinking there is some unusual fish activity, but whatever it is, the last few days have been a treat. I posted some more a few minutes ago that I got today.

Doesn't he. These great blue herons around here are spectacular birds. It's amazing to be able to photograph them right off my own back porch!
