I think I'm starting to get the hang of this here are some bee's I shot yesterday
All three of your photos demonstrate a very narrow DoF. Each image has only a small slice in focus.
Are these images heavily cropped, or did you shoot this close to bee? As presented, these images are at least 2:1 magnification (2x life-size).
One rule of thumb with insect photography: the eyes must be in focus.
Thanks Douglass, I'm trying to work it out although I've been into photography for about 40 or more years I'm new to Macro and I did try to bring the eyes in focus. This is a work in progress.

My strongest recommendation is to practice on small, stationary, 3-D objects, in full sunlight. The advantage is experimenting & re-shooting without worrying about changing composition.
Whatever you learn by shooting itty-bitty toys, will translate to live insects.
Hey Douglass,
I found this spider in the bottom of a bucket he is less then a inch long and is not moving so I've found a model to practice with now I need to find a smaller one

Good practice subject for DoF comparisons.
