LOL I must have esp, because I just somehow knew you were going to tell me exactly what you just did about Mothers Day! I'll have to agree with you, Angela. Sometimes it's better to have a quiet day with just the fur and feather babies. It's the way I spent the day and didn't mind a bit. Hope your weather improves drastically this week. We're in the 90s, and we need some rain.

You have no idea, Donna.... David did do the cooking on the BBQ, but I did everything else and clean-up..... and the weather was horrible!! Today no rain but only reaching 60... the rest of the week in the 60's with rain every day except Thursday... and another weekend calling for rain both days.. UGH!!! I wish I could send some your way....
Glad you enjoyed a lovely and quiet Mother's Day.... but then again, every day is Mother's Day!! Stay cool!!

Very beautiful. Angela and hope that you guys had a wonderful day. Jeff visited with us in the afternoon. Last weekend they were celebrating their twenty-ninth anniversary by taking a twenty-mile bike ride and with about two miles left until completion when crossing an uneven wooden bridge, Carolyn's bike got away from her and she went down, breaking her collarbone. Also, Henry was close behind so he also fell and banged up his knees and elbows and has quite a few bruises. Jeff was in the lead so he was not injured, but of course felt awful about it happening and sure threw ice on their celebration.

We did have a good day considering the rainy weekend, had my son, dil and boys in the house all day while David dealt with the rain doing the bbq!
I am so sorry hearing about Carolyn's injury... how horrible and also that Henry fell as well. That's a terrible way to end an enjoyable day. Hope she heals quickly!!

So glad that you guys had a great weekend and didn't let the rain get in the way! Fortunately for Carolyn, the break is on her left side but still worry about her standing on her feet and filling prescriptions almost constantly all day and doesn't have but a one week break from work to recover!
We have been busy potting and planting and sure that you guys are doing the same! Take care!

Oh my.... I'm sure filling prescriptions requires two hands, so that must be painful... a week to recover certainly isn't long enough time!!
We haven't done anything in our garden, by now all our veggies are planted and it looks like this weekend will be another wash out, plus my daughter is coming home so I doubt we will be gardening.... and May is half over!!
Have fun with your gardening!!
