Yellow Iris - again

The first shot is a pair of yellow Iris from the pot that was all pure yellow blooms when purchased from the nursery 2 1/2 years ago. Single frame.
Second shot is a close up of part of the bloom on the left taken yesterday when it was the only one open. Focus stacked using the Helicon FB Tube - 23 frames (set for 20 but hard to count when the 5DIV is doing its machine gun imitation so I just used all of them).
The Iris I have been posting and the next one I will post later show how most of the blooms look now - mixed yellow and purple (there is a pot of lavender/purple Iris about 8 feet away, I think a bit of cross pollination has taken place). And one of the buds in the pot of lavender/purple Iris is starting to open. Maybe Sat I will know what they look like. But the parts I can see are all purple.

Like these images for their color and IQ better than the second post...which is also very good. I'm gonna have to get some tubes and try to use my macro lens more.

Thank you
The Helicon FB Tube (Canon and Nikon only) is $199 and has an internal chip (app for laptop (PC&Mac), smart phone or tablet to control it). You set the camera and lens combo, pick the settings and pick a # of frames, the tube controls the lens and changes focus for each frame while shooting on burst. Instructions are a bit sketchy but I am gradually learning it.

Thanks, I don't own a single reflector, but do have some large sheets of mounting board and a large cardboard box and a can of white spray paint so I can improvise.

You are Welcome
And when purchased together they gave me a discount on the Helicon focus stacking software - that I still need to learn.
