This House Wren enjoys fresh protein. It was feeding the young in its condo along the American River Parkway Saturday. I think the nest box was placed by a scout group several years ago. This is the first year I have seen it used, but I am sure it has been rented before.

They were very busy. The young fledged the next day, so I was lucky I got these when I did. The White-breasted Nuthatches are still feeding the young. They were nesting about 15 feet away in the next cottonwood.
