Yep! I am just about getting to know a bit about picture taking. I'm 76 years old and have been in the photo field since about 8 years of age. (My father and Uncle were both in the photo field) I have shot with large film format, Homemade "Pin Hole" camera and cine formats of all sizes. Digital going back to a Sony, Floppy disk. Today I use a Sony 6500 and my old Canon, 640 8 mega-pix. Love the smaller camera as it is easy to carry, the view screen goes all over the place, and it has a view finder and mostly it is easy to use in manual mode. I would love to have one with about 20 mega-pix.
In the past I have worked at crime scenes with the police department of a major city. As an industrial photographer for major companies. I still have a lot to learn so love to read uo on the subject and try new stuff.

Welcome. I think forensic photography teaches you useful skills such as "Telling the story" and taking really sharp shots with good DOF.
