Dogwood Blossom

The neighbor's Dogwood tree has limbs that come into my yard so I took a ladder in the early morning to take one of the blossom's photos. Gave the second picture a fractal glow effect to produce an artistic illusion of the blossom.

I really like the second one but not the first due to soft focus. It seems like every time I try to take a close up all mine have soft focus as well.

Yeah, I agree it's a bit soft for me too. I wanted to get the photo before the bright sun came out and I was on an 8-ft ladder with a hand-held macro lens to do it. Not as stable as I once was but it something I enjoyed doing.
