Was out at a lake checking out the Grebe population when I came upon a Sage Thrasher acting kind of strangely. As I checked out the vegetation below him it became apparent what he was up to. His posture explains exactly what his antics were aimed at.

Thank you, It was a lovely day. Unfortunately, the normally numerous Grebe populations are way down this year so this photo was my reward for the drive out to the lake.

Sigh, I do remember with chagrin when this was true of me too! Unfortunately, age has finally cooled the fires but what great memories.
Ahh...the beauty of how we were designed. Ecstasy and agony mostly in equal parts.
