This pic of Cypress Creek where it joins with Little Cypress Creek just west of Houston was taken at about 8:00AM this morning.
Notably a bunch of arrowheads have been found in and along the creek bed in this area by a professional arrowhead hunter over several years or so. I find this odd in that the Houston area is not known for flint or other suitable stone for making arrowheads.
Flint is found west of Houston in the cretaceous belt. It was formed as silica percolated through the limestone and was deposited as chert or flint.
