I really love the OM-D EM-5 I purchased to replace my aging DMC-G1. My only regret is "why did I wait so long"?
What are you currently shooting with?
I have a 6D and a 7DmkII I Love to shoot BIF but I also love Flowers, Macro and nature.

Check out the Olympus USA site and get on their mailing list. They periodically have the EM1 MII available as a refurb. That's how I got mine - when they sent me an email announcing a 24-hour "flash sale" with an extra 10% (I think it was) off the refurb price it was too tempting to resist, even though I really have no complaints about my EMI MI. (The MII battery life IS a lot better, and I do like having dual card slots.) I've bought a number of refurb lenses from 'em, too. Refurb cameras and lenses come with the same accessories as new products, but only have a 90 day warranty. You can buy extended warranties if you feel more comfortable that way.
Do you pay tax on getolympus?

Yes. At least I do in MO. Still, with the flash sale in March I got the EM1 MII for $1329 delivered. Refurb with a 90 day warranty. For another $99 I can add 2 years of additional warranty. For me, that's the most comfortable "used" camera deal out there.

Never have. Generally the only time vendors charge a sales tax is when they are in the state where the buyer resides. Check this out, however, with Olympus.... I am not an Attorney (Thank God!!)

The current price on the Olympus website for a new E-M1 MKII is better than the price I paid for a refurb from them a few months ago. I love the camera after having used the original E-M1, E-M5 and a number of PEN models. The firmware update on the E-M1 MKII improves CAF, which in turn improves video performance. I used my reward points to buy a battery holder.

This is correct. I AM a (mostly retired) tax lawyer, and the rule is that if you have enough connection to a state - the legal term is "nexus" - then you're required to collect sales tax on goods shipped to that state, even if the order is received in and shipped from another state. Just shipping goods into a state does not create nexus if you're using unrelated delivery providers like USPS or UPS. Apparently Olympus has enough other corporate nexus to MO that they have to collect tax on goods shipped here.
Thought you paid $1400 the site selling for $1699

I bought in Aug 2017. Refurb was $1699, so it was the same as a new one now. I'm satisfied as it's a great camera and even better with the latest update.
Thank you all for advice. Went with G9
