It looks like the Great Blue Heron is going to be a regular in my neighborhood. I was having trouble shooting it with the Nikon 200-500mm, f/5.6 lens, so I bought a 2x Nikon teleconverter to use with my 70-200mm, f/2.8 lens. This made it much easier to focus and shoot rapidly. Every chance I'm getting I seem to be improving. Here are three of the shots I got today.
