So I've picked up a Sigma 400 Yashica AF mount (very nice) and have same lens with MA mount (bad inner glass-affects shots).....I want to attempt the mount swap to save my MA 400 (have tech exp and am not afraid) - anyone have exp. with such an endeavor?

Thanks,
mikey

Thete is a LOT more to consider than just a mount change. Aperture control, AF function control, focus registration distance, even direction of focus ring rotation. Mount changes are not simple and even just ONE manufacturer offers such a service and that is Sigma, but its ONLY available on their "Global Vision" series of lenses.

Well, if it looks that bad I'll just sell it with my still functional Yashica 2000 FX3 Super......would make a nice little 35mm combo.

There were several, the best of which were the Contax N series and it was not compatible with the older C/Y mount.

The FX-3 was a manual focus body which came out way back in 1979. It was manufactured by Cosina.

The Yashica 230 AF is an autofocus 35mm SLR introduced 1987 by Kyocera in Japan.
