can you tell what the first Lynx is munching on? looks like a fresh molt of something, the last one rocks

Bob,are you telling me my little green jumper is a scavenger i would never say that about your spider

There is a possibility that it is eating it's own shed. Not much nutrition, but still possible. Many lizards,frogs ann other lower animals do. Bill

The larger hind legs lead me to guess that the lynx prey is a last instar cicadellid plant hopper (not, but in the same family as a sharpshooter), already mostly drained. Don't think it is carrion or just a skin, I think it was active and captured by the lynx. I don't think spiders consume the exoskeleton of prey, usually just knead it into a ball and drop it. Fine pics!!!

Turantulas totally destroy prey to get the last drop . When I fed small colorful beetles, what was left sometimes looked like jewels.The face on the spider is beautiful in it's own way . Thanks, Bill
