Not sure why I can't resize pictures to the same size in Photoshop CC?

Hello,

I don't use Photoshop to to often.

I am trying to resize three photos to the same size.

I have tried several times and I can't get them the same size.

One of the photos was portrait so I tried to rotating it.

That still didn't solve the problem.

Anyone have any thoughts what I could not be doing correctly?

Thank you

Raw or JPG?
I remember someone telling me that JPG files are compressed each time you move them...
Not sure but I also have photos that have become "smaller" over time. I'm saving them in hopes of one day being able to resize also.
I pray this isn't your issue.
God Bless.

This could be possible.

Each time you save them in an editor, not move them.
Moving a file from place A to place B does not change the file size.

By size, do you mean physical dimensions in inches, cm, pixels? Or do you mean "file size" in Bytes, MBs? How do you have your Ps 's ACR set up. There can be many factors concerning "size". Do you ultimately mean same printing size in some manner. And why?

If you go to IMAGE and then Image Size, you can make them the same size in inches or pixels. The canvas size is also available there. If you are radically changing the size there may be some other issues.

The image size should be 1024 X 768 pixels.

Two of the photos are landscape and one of the photos is portrait.

Since the portrait photo is an abstract I was able to rotate it to make it landscape.

It didn't make what I do they photos will not come out the same size.

When you say "come out the same size"?? Where are you looking? Are you printing them or looking on the screen?

I would not be printing the images.

I am trying to resize them to be displayed digitally at my photo club.

When you resize to meet a clubs requirement you normally are fixed on the long side, say 1028, and the photo cropping determines what the short side will be.
If you must have the outside measurements then set the long side on "Image Size" and set the total outside measurement on the "Canvas Size"

1024 X 768 is rather few pixels for a photo. To reduce a photo to this size it must start out with the same "aspect ratio", which is 4:3 for that number of pixels. This is not necessarily as the photo was taken. If not, you must trim the original before you reduce it.

The OP said this was for digital display at his camera club. If using a projector whose display is 1024x768, the images will look fine. Anything larger will be reduced to 1024x768. Printing would be a different issue.
