It's a very unique pic as it is, but I did a couple of crops to make the spider stand out more as the focal point. Whaddaya think?

The wider shot shows that slight glow under the hand and immediately lets the view know that the spider is on a hand and not a sand hill.

fabolous shot. simple in style tet because of the subject matter, it provokes a strong emotional reaction. I wouls mat this on black then frame it. Is your employee contest have a theme or is it anything goes? good luck.

Nope, the original is far better. You know that it's a hand in the original which adds to the effect of the spider.

bobmeilke is right - the o0riginal is better - the hand adds perfectly to the effect.
