Stranger than truth!

After looking at a few optical illusions, I wondered about photography and optical illusions. Other than the blur and bending of an airplane propeller, does anyone have anything to comment on and how it could be simply replicated?

By "optical illusions", are you referring to the genre of trick photography?

Yes. Sort-of a magician. I'd like to show photography as an entertainment for children in hospitals, etc.

I've seen some AV productions using slides (multiple projectors) and computers that were fantastic.

Early auto racing photos from Europe had an interesting distortion. These massive cars looked as if they were stretched or the front looked like the bow of a ship. Due to the vertical running focal plain shutter which was quite slow. You may be able to contrive a similar situation by placing a device in front of camera, shooting on the bulb ora very long manual shutter setting.
These days shutters run horizontally or are of a leaf configuration.

Those are wonderful. When I first saw the lady at the beach, it threw my eyes for a loop!

Now I have to find other items to do things like that.

This is what I was talking about. I am a bit of a car nut myself. Got started early going to sports car races in Monterey, California with my brother.

That sounds like a good idea. Now the question to that would be how? Sounds neat though.
