Why is it that companies don't make zoom lenses that don't creep. Since all zooming is manual anyway why can't theyjust make zooming a little tighter. I would think that a "no creep" lens would be a good marketing thing. Maybe lens creep is a "creepy" name, all they would have to do is call the new build the "no slide" update. Charge a couple hundred more for the mark 2 version.
My Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens does not creep, my Nikon 24-120 f4 does not creep, my new Nikon 16-80 does not creep, my Nikon 24-70 2.8 does not creep, my Nikon 12-24 mm f4 lens does not creep, and my Nikon 10-20 mm lens does not creep.

I'd prefer creep to stiff or unsteady movement.

Cheap rubber bands will fix that. Unsightly, but effective.
That's exactly what I use.
Some cheeper cameras do that. They don't really zoom-in they crop the pictures. A20 meg picture in that camera can give you a 5 meg picture if you zoom it.

Why do you say,(all zooming is manual anyway), all of my lens are auto and manual focus zooming, and none of them cseep.

Companies do make zoom lenses that don't creep so the preliminary question of your post is rendered moot. I have several zoom lenses, none of which suffer from lens creep.
28 / 300 tamron is a creeper , the fix is a wide rubber band that add friction to a too loose zoom .to make a wide rubber band , use a bicycle tube , cut a strip , then glue the ends together for right diameter .

The more expensive lenses by Canon don't do that or they have a creep lock. I don't know if that's what they call it but since you gave it the name creep I'll stick with that. My new 24-70 mark II lens has a lock to keep it at 24mm if you don't what it to creep. While this lens is still new, it's tight enough that it doesn't creep even without the lock. My other new Canon lens is the 100-400 and it has a ring that can be snugged up to keep it from creeping. I don't use that ring because it seems to not creep. But this lens is only about a year and a half old so it's pretty tight too.
My old 100-400 had a snugging ring too, but it wore out and quit working. I had it repaired at Canon and then it worked as it should. Most of the cheap or less expensive lenses I've owned creeped down with gravity all the time so I know how annoying it can be.
The Tamron 150-600 MKII locks in place at any setting. My Canon 100-400 had a tension ring but it wore out long ago. Never had it move while I was shooting but was a pain to hike with. That was the original version - don't know what the new version has.

This is why I have Sigma. Sigma lens are creepy. Pay the extra money for a Nikon or Cannon lens. I will never buy an off brand lens again.

Sounds kinda strange. I have read hundreds of reports and reviews never really heard much about creepy zooms. Is that the only thing you don’t love let about the lens?

They do. None of my zoom lenses creep at all.
