About six weeks ago I was out and noticed a Gallinule's ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_purple_gallinule ) nest site that was in the same general area last year - and this year I thought, I MUST get some images of the little ones - which are very hard to come by !

A week ago I began to see the little ones ( 3 of them) - they are bigger and more active now- so I am able to get presentable shots - they are however, still elusive and challenging !

These all taken with Canon 80D and 400 prime W/ 1.4X II from monopod.

Larry, excellent set of photos of a hard to capture adult (personal knowledge) and the young ones are even harder. All the time I spent on the water in South Florida I never saw the first young one.

Their feet just own me. They are so large. Chicks are cute too. Great shots.
