this is so interesting, and putting it on black background really brings out that bee comin' in! I like the out of focus of all of those hive workers. It is such a good image, and I had to sit here with it a while! I thought of Arlo Guthrie altho I'm sure Dylan wasn't opposed to bringing in the ki's.

You're absolutely correct Carla, it was Arlo Guthrie... he and Dylan sound a bit alike and I wasn't sure how to spell Guthrie... Anyway, that's the song running through my head as bees flowed in and out of the hive and I hoped they wouldn't take an interest in me. The shot was a lot tougher than I thought it would be- having tried a variety of focal lengths to get a sharp bee foreground and slightly out of focus hive... not completely happy with it but, there's another image I'll upload in a bit... but it was a fun exercise. Thanks for the feedback- your comments are always appreciated!

This has a sharper bee, but no pollen sacks... seems to be difficult getting separation between flying bee and hive bees.
