Caught this guy at the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens. In my 27 years living in Albuquerque I'd never seen one before.
I hope they prosper here.

Nice shot, Paul. They are beautiful birds. They are the most common bird at my feeder here in La.

Beautiful shot and a pleasant surprise out there I'm sure. Here on Long Island, I can hear them quite often. Some say they represent someone watching over us. Nice thought.

A familiar bird to us in Ohio.

These and blue jays are not found in the west. Cardinals are fictional in Phoenix and play ball. Stellar Jays are found in higher elevations however. Thanks for showing us the beautiful little red birds.

Apparently there is this male and a female that hang around our botanical gardens. There has also been a male spotted at the Rio Grande Nature Center. The Nature Center and the Botanical Gardens are close enough to each other that I suppose it could be the same bird.
I wish them well.

Interesting. I will have to tell my daughter. She moved to Albuquerque last June and is closing on a home right now. I just sent her 4 grand for the downstroke. Cute house. Now I will have to tell her how to attract Cardinals. Lol.
