I see your thumbnails come chocolate flavored also. I hate it when this happens. I have yet to figure out what causes this. Nice pix by the way!

Yup the rose in the thumbnail looks a TOTALLY different colour to the download version and that is why I smile when folks critique a thumbnail... It is not the photograph..

I love looking at these beautiful images and it lets us all appreciate the skill required to get this type of image :thumbup:

On that first image however I see lots of sparklies that look like either reflection from some sort of lighting (my first assumption) or tiny hot spots of 'burn out' (unlikely)

Rose # 1: D200, 105mm lens, f11, 1/60s, aperture priority,
0 EV, matrix metering, iso 100

Rose # 2: D200, 55mm micro ais lens, f5.6, 1/250s, aperture
priority, manual, +1.0 EV, spot metering, iso 100

Rose # 3: D200, 105mm ais lens, f16, 1s, aperture priority,
0 EV, matrix metering, iso 100

Rose # 4: D200, 60mm AF micro D lens, f5.6, 1/60s, aperture
priority, 0 EV, matrix, iso 100

Rose # 5: D300, 14-24 AFS G nano lens, f8, 1/60s, aperture
priority, + 0.3 EV, matrix, iso 200, SB- 800 flash
mode, i-TTL, front curtain

Rose # 6 Same settings as # 5 rose. Applied vignette blur

Rose # 7 D200, 55mm micro AF D lens, f16, 1/60s, aperture
priority, 0EV, matrix, iso 100. flash SB-800, i-TTL,
front curtain.

Thanks, for your observation, glojo. Occasionally, while applying "tonal contrast" to the photos in Capture NX2, i see this phenomenon, which is a non-issue to me.
