They are in a tree scheduled to be cut down. No one knew they were there til the climber got attacked by momma. She cut him on his cheek, neck, and back, but He is OK. Waiting till they leave to proceed. Canon 7D and 1Dmk4 w/ 100-400, tripod, wireless remote.

A major "well done" on your images. Know of a red bearded archer, who was hunting deer, up in a tree in a breeze, just at dawn. Guess the beard resembled the tail of a fox squirrel. Any rate, when the Great Horned Owl struck the archer in the face, he was fortunate not to have any eye damage.

I'm sorry the worker got scratched up but I'm glad they found the owls before they were hurt. We had a bridge worker near us get attacked by a Peregrine Falcon. Nine stitches in the head for crossing the invisible line near the nest. Just think, he's got a great story for the rest of his life. Gary

Horned owls are BIG birds. (Up to 25 inches long with up to a 57 inch wingspan.) In NJ we had a nest in our back yard. The boneyard under that tree was impressive. Several large rabbit heads and hindquarter bones indicating quite large and heavy prey were taken by those parents. These babies are about 24 inches in height - in a very big tree.

Super shots. Love those babies.
It is a shame that their home will be demolished. Can it be postponed until the young have left nest?

Yes, by Law they have to wait until the nest is empty. Let alone the safety! Thanks for looking !
