Photosis, for short - sis or sissy
...I know you said that you didn’t want the typical Nikon, Canon, Sony, but I think Sigma could be a pretty nice pup name...
"in the great outdoors, shooting landscapes and Western Wandering Vistas together" leaves only one choice.

Love your dog! Great breed!
F-8. When you want the dog to come, you could then say F 8. Be there!

Wow, 11 pages! That's a lot of suggestions. And I know I voted for Damnit, but,,,,
My suggestion to you is to get your dog and just get to know her for a few days. She will respond to claps, whistles, and other noises as well as any upbeat tone of your voice. I'm sure her personality will draw out of you a perfect name that may, or may not, have a photography connection.
Also, take your dog with you, from day one, every time you pick up your camera. This is part of her behavior learning process. And like humans, dogs learn an incredible amount in their early days. Take treats and reward her for good behavior with the treats, petting, and making a fuss over her whenever she does good. If you let her know that you love her as much as she loves you, she will never venture far from your side.
As to those photogoraphers who are against dogs.....
Yes, you will encounter people who are affraid of dogs and be particularly cautious of those who hate dogs (they will hurt a dog in any way they can and feel justified). But my guess is that they are not truly dog people.
Enjoy your dog. Enjoy your shooting outings. And let us know how things are going.

This will also give you the opportunity to train the dog to retrieve dropped lens caps and other straying gear using the command: "Dag - Nab it."
Clever. I like how you think.
That's funny - my dad had a dog that kept digging up his garden. Well he kept yelling at it "you damn Dog" and it stuck. That dog would only answer to Damn Dog. I can remember going out into the yard to call her in - "DAMN DOG!, DAMN DOG!" - the neighbors always got a kick out of that.

I had a dog I used to call "DAMNIT" as well. Interesting to call him when you wanted him to come back. Not so much when there were children or "Church Ladies" around. Just Sayin'
