Just added that place to my list! Very unexpected! Great pics!
Great series - you really lucked out to have a sky that interesting to add to your excellent compositions. Every time I have been there it has been bright and sunny and VERY windy. Thanks for posting them - you really did justice to a beautiful part of Arizona.
Very fine images, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful work, Cany. Good fortune with the weather, as well.

Thank you to those who've commented, and thanks to others who've stopped by to look. Genuinely. But apart from just posting some pix, I had an ulterior motive, too. That is, if you go somewhere extraordinary, don't arrive at 10am and leave at 3pm. Stay there a few days; let the place seep into you some, and get to know it a little better so what you get is not just a cursory glance. And get away from the 'ordinal' spots; you usually don't have to go far to find better than average views. In this particular case, there's no place to stay in the park, and camping isn't even an option; what's worse, PEFO opens at 7am and closes (that time of year) at 6pm, so that left out a whole lot of pre-dawn and post-sunset possibilities. (I camped in a parking lot on the southern park boundary, the better to get where I wanted as early as possible.) What could, however, be factored in was that this visit was planned for being during the Monsoon Season, so the chance of weather/clouds/impressiveness was much greater than other times of the year might have been. Beyond that, what was it that Forrest Gump said about a box of chocolates?

Very nice, Cany. And that's one reason I travel in an RV. I can park somewhere and wait for several days for better light, weather, wind etc. etc.

Beautiful, just plain beautiful. I like what you said about letting the area seep inside you. I am going to have to remember that. I'm usually going 100 mph and my photos suffer for it. I have been to some beautiful places
over the years. Unfortunately, I haven't taken the time to enjoy them. Thanks for posting and your advice.
That looks like a gorgeous place for taking photos. As you clearly demonstrated by your images.
Nice photos-- it is a beautiful place that I’d like to go back to.
