Saturday morning clear skies for a change. Even got a Red Tail a couple hundred feet from the Osprey nest.

Thank you, Regis. Would love to see you at work and do some "learnin' "! You set a high bar with your shots that I'll never catch!

Thank you for commenting!

Let me know if you make plans for mid June to mid July for a 2019 trip to Yellowstone! We'll be in Gardiner then.

Will be back in Gardiner 5/21 for a week...will have to do a better job of coordinating next year! Think you will be there when Ron and Helma are. We try to go before school lets out in May and after it starts in September.

We cancelled our spring 2018 trip and we'll make a little trip into Florida's bird areas and then stay close to home. We wanted a three bedroom house and had to reserve way in advance. Gardiner wins, hands down! We'll be flying into Bozeman. Two of my sons and grandkids will visit us. I will not be at all surprised if Ron and Helma show up, depending on whether they want to fight the crowds. I would not be going at this time, but it's the only way we could accommodate the kids. Not a deal breaker because we spend a lot of time in Lamar and the northeast section. It will most likely be our last hiking trip...the bodies are losing their durability! Got to do Washburn one time! Closed with too much snow in spring and fall! We shall stay in touch!

There may be too much residual snow on Washburn when we are in YS...don't know if we are up to that hike again. High altitudes and lack of oxygen are taking their toll on this old body!! And, it is snowing hard at our house as I type...hope this is the last storm, its making a mess out on the streets with lots of accidents.
